On
a street famous for Vietnamese food there is one restaurant that really
stands out, the highly popular Viet Grill, and now it’s gone one step
further, boasting an elegant new look.
The sumptuous, earthy tones of hand-crafted wooden furniture, subtle
light fittings and decadent flock wallpaper have been carefully
selected to create a warm, relaxing environment that will encourage
diners to linger over their meals and enjoy a full dining experience.
Additional seating at the bar allows you to enjoy a drink or two before
your meal. Little touches such as authentic bird cages and silk
lanterns firmly position the restaurant’s origins in your mind - that
is if the delicious aromas drifting around the restaurant haven’t
already done the trick! Bright and bustling by day, this space is
transformed in the evening, with low lighting creating a cosy, intimate
atmosphere.
The redesign will eventually run right through the restaurant
incorporating their logo, menu, wine list and website
(www.vietnamesekitchen.co.uk). Of the refit, restaurant owner Hieu
Trung Bui says, “We’re thrilled with the new design, the restaurant was
in need of a new look and this is just perfect, it’s so elegant... Many
of our customers have got used to ordering a quick dish and heading
straight out, we wanted to create an environment where they are
encouraged to relax and really take their time over their meal and
we’re sure this will help achieve our goal.”
Viet Grill offers the same exquisite menu as sister restaurant, Cay
Tre, along with additional dishes prepared on their authentic grill, in
a more formal dining setting. To compliment your meal the management
have enlisted the help of wine critic Malcolm Gluck to design an
exclusive wine list that draws out the food's beautifully fragrant
flavours. Try a Fairview red wine with Cognac ‘luc lac’ beef or an
Australian riesling with the Slow Cooked Mekong Catfish.
