Page 1 of 2 The exclusive Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort And Spa is located on a landscaped peninsula, forty five minutes from Muscat's Seeb International Airport.
Anyone fed-up with the glitz and never-ending expansion of Dubai will find tranquility here. The resort, which comprises three hotels, overlooks the Gulf of Oman with the interior mountains providing the impressive backdrop.
The resort is actually made up of three hotels, and accommodation is split between Al Husn ("the Castle"), Al Bandar ("the Town") and lastly the more family-oriented Al Waha ("the
Oasis").
Rooms and suites include
24-hour room service, minibars, coffee and tea making facilities, high speed
internet access, satellite TV, iron and ironing board, electronic
safes, voice mail and bathrooms with separate shower and bath.
Al Waha is
perfect for families, and its 302 spacious rooms and suites all have
either a private balcony or patio terrace. The smallest rooms are 32sq
m, standard rooms 34 sq m, and the largest suites at 68 sq m. Guests
at the Al Waha have five restaurants to choose from.
Al Bandar , located at the heart of the
resort, is geared to couples, families and business executives.
Guests staying at the Al Bandar have access to Turtle Beach and the
hotel's 198 luxurious rooms and suites are larger than those at the Al
Waha.
Al Husn is the flagship of the Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort, and is set apart from the rest of the complex affording total privacy.
The 180 magnificent rooms and suites feature sweeping sea views, and
interiors are luxuriously decorated with rich fabrics and furnishings.
With
the exception of the dining facilities which are shared with guests at
the Al Bandar, the Al Husn hotel is exclusive to its guests. Facilities include a cigar lounge, private gym and exclusive access to its own private beach.
