Belltown, Seattle is the location of the chic Hotel Ändra. Surrounded by restaurants, bars and Seattle's fashion houses, the hotel is equally sophisticaed. The 1926 landmark building was totally revamped in 2004, and has been designed to reflect the city's Scandinavian influences.
A real sanctuary where one can escape from it all, the hotel is just far enough away from the crowds, yet is in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of everything - the Pike Street market, ferries and shops - ideal for a weekend getaway.
The hotel lobby is called the "Living Room", with plank flooring, wall-to-ceiling maple bookcases, and a feature fireplace hewn from local granite. Overlooking the living room, the loft-style salon is a good spot for people-watching or enjoying a quiet read.
Rooms and facilities
Outrageously
luxurious, the hotel's 119 non-smoking rooms and suites have warm khaki
walls, alpaca headboards and chenile bedspreads.
Beds have supremely comfortable Serta mattresses, topped with 315-count
Egyptian cotton sheets, and goose down duvets and pillows.
Icelandic-blue bathrooms also contain luxury Frette towels and bathrobes, and are stocked with Face Stockholm toiletries.
Rooms have windows which open, and are individually climate controlled.
All come with tea/coffee makers, hairdryers, flat-screen Plasma tvs,
in-room safe and mini-bar, and have high-speed wireless internet access.
