 The serene location for the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi is more than 60 acres of natural landscapes, including rice paddies and exotic plantations. A luxury resort in Thailand's Chiang Mai, the Dhara Devi incorporates the traditional styles of ornate temples and colonial mansions to create an ambience of rich beauty and romantic mystery.
A collection of separate pavillions make up the resort accommodation and facilities, which include the Dheva Spa and fitness centre, tennis courts, cookery school, stylish restaurants and includes a traditional Thai shopping village.
Rooms and facilities
Among the resort's 123 suites and villas are 58 Colonial Suites,
overlooking the landscaped gardens, and 65 private villas in the style
of Thai pavilions.
Available
from March 2006, the spacious colonial suites feature 5m ceilings, a
bedroom and separate living room, and include a large private
verandah. Each suite has its own on-call butler, and comes with
individual climate control, private bar, in-room safe and luxurious
twin or king-size beds.
Choose from one bedroom Colonial Suites, deluxe suites which include a kitchen area, grand-deluxe or two-bedroom deluxe.
Pavilion and villa accommodation offers an exclusive retreat combined
with the latest modern technology. Some are two-storey, and the
deluxe options have their own private jacuzzi, plunge pools or swimming
pools.
Comfortable and extremely spacious residence suites are designed in
Mandalay style. All feature separate living room, large bathrooms and
steam shower. The deluxe residence has its own private pool and
Jacuzzi, and one or two bedroom residences are available. For the
ultimate luxury or special occasion, the Dhara Dhevi offers
individually designed suites - the Penthouse Spa or the Royal Villa.
